Vidit Santosh Gujrathi

Vidit Gujrathi of Nashik-Maharashtra, India had the honour of earning the first norm for a chess international master. Vidit become the youngest player in Maharashtra to earn this honour. In the National 'A level' competition he won four matches and drew an equal number. Thus he secured six points in the tournament being held at Chennai. With this he drew up a total of 2457 points.Vidit has been a winner in many national and international tournaments in the under 14 category. He is known to have defeated many reputed players. Son of Mr Santosh Gujrathi, Vidit is now being trained by an International Coach. His victory is a big honour for the India and it will provide a boost to the sports nationwide.
